What's the Word

What’s the Word is a simple word-guessing game built around finding the hidden word using a limited number of attempts. Each guess gives you feedback on the letters you’ve chosen, helping you work out which letters belong in the word, which are in the correct position, and which can be ruled out entirely. From there, it’s about using deduction, vocabulary, and a bit of experimentation to narrow down the possibilities and find the answer before you run out of guesses.

You can choose different word lengths depending on how difficult you want each puzzle to be, making it easy to play something quick or give yourself a harder challenge. Shorter words can be surprisingly tricky, while longer words give you more letters and combinations to think through. Whether you want a relaxed word puzzle or something that makes you stop and think, you can adjust the experience to suit how you want to play.

At the center of the game is the Daily Puzzle, with a new word to solve each day. Everyone receives the same daily word, giving you one fresh challenge to come back to every day and see how efficiently you can solve it.

If you want more than just the daily puzzle, there’s also unlimited practice and community content through Steam Workshop. You can play custom word packs, track your stats with achievements, and build up vocabulary over time. It’s a clean, straightforward game that’s easy to jump into and gives you a reason to come back each day.
