Overview

Finish a street, watch it come back

When the last piece on a street goes, a wave of light rolls down it. The windows come back, planters and trees grow in along the pavement, people return to the pavements and the smog over the city thins a little more. Clear the old town and the fountain in the market square runs again.

From your bare hands to a fleet of trucks

You start with nothing but your hands. Every upgrade changes what the job is: a cart to carry more, a pickup to haul furniture, a skid steer to shove through junk, garbage trucks that swallow whole piles as you drive, and in the end your own recycling plant.

Sort it, sell it

Seven skips — general, plastic, metal, electronics, bulky, hazardous and the valuables. Sorted loads pay full price; tip a mixed load at the bay and you still get paid, just less. Every load is money towards the next machine.

One city, buried

Eleven districts, from a back alley to the docks and the sea, buried under 118,000 hand-placed pieces of rubbish — every bag, fridge, mattress and burnt-out van put somewhere on purpose. Every district is open from the start, but some roads are walled off by rubbish so thick that only a bigger machine can break through. The wall tells you what to buy next.

It stays clean

Rubbish never respawns. A street you cleared on your first morning is still clean hours later, and the piles you had to leave because they were too heavy are still waiting when you come back with a bigger machine.

And when it's done

Drag the handle across the ending screen and wipe the city you found into the city you made, with your numbers underneath.
