Seashells & Shovels is a single-player, first-person pirate adventure about the pleasure of finding something buried. Volunteer to clean up tourist islands and take the opportunity to search for pirate treasure. Sail between 12 themed islands, follow treasure maps, and settle into a rhythm of searching, digging, and bringing your discoveries aboard.

EXPLORE AT YOUR OWN PACE

Pick an island that catches your eye and head ashore. All 12 islands are open to explore, whether you're following a map or taking a detour. A colorful low-poly world, changing weather, and a day-and-night cycle give every voyage its own atmosphere.

FOLLOW THE SIGNAL. DIG A LITTLE DEEPER.

Sweep the ground with your metal detector, grab your shovel, and uncover buried finds. Upgrade your detector, shovel, and drill to reach deeper treasures. Bring a lantern for nighttime searches and the bottom of a deep hole.

TRACE THE CAPTAIN'S TREASURE

Buy your first map to begin a hunt for 12 Captain's chests. Follow the maps to find these special chests, which your metal detector cannot reveal. Along the way, coins and new maps lead you onward. The route is randomized for each new run and saved with your progress. Find the final chest to complete the main hunt, then keep exploring.

LOOK A LITTLE CLOSER

Discover pinned pages that begin 12 optional treasure hunts. Follow a sequence of clues to track down a special collectible. Bring your finds back to the ship and display them on deck.

LEAVE THE ISLANDS A LITTLE BETTER

Take a break from treasure hunting to collect litter in bags and deliver them to island depots. Spray soap and use your brush to scrub away paint, working across each mark as it gradually disappears. Cleanup is optional, with rewards for completing an island's litter collection or paint removal. Lend a hand at your own pace, then return to the next clue or buried find.

MAKE YOUR SHIP FEEL LIKE HOME

Find or buy cosmetic ship fittings and clothes, decorate your deck with treasured discoveries, and give your next voyage a personal touch. When the light is just right, use photo mode to save a picture of your adventure.
