Scenario Pack 1 "Arctic Steel"

Arctic Steel is a DLC for Victory At Sea Atlantic, expanding the game with four hand-crafted historical scenarios and new Royal Navy ship classes drawn from the most brutal naval theatre of the Second World War: the Arctic convoy routes.

Four Historical Scenarios

Northern Patrol – November 1939. The armed merchant cruiser HMS Rawalpindi stumbles upon the Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. Outgunned by two of Germany's most powerful warships, her crew fights with everything they have.

Battle of the Barents Sea – December 1942. Convoy JW 51B pushes through Arctic darkness toward the Soviet Union, defended by a screen of destroyers, corvettes, and cruisers against the heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper and her escorts. The fate of the merchant ships rests on your decisions.

Arctic Skirmish – December 1943. HMS Belfast, Sheffield, and Norfolk intercept the Scharnhorst in storm-lashed Arctic waters. The opening engagement of a historic chase, and the beginning of the end for Germany's last great warship.

Death of a Giant – December 1943. Command the fleet that finally brings down the Scharnhorst off North Cape. Destroyers, cruisers, and HMS Duke of York close in from every direction. She has to be stopped.

New and Upgraded Royal Navy Ship Classes

Arctic Steel adds completely new ship classes to Victory At Sea Atlantic, plus dedicated, purpose-built 3D models for five classes that previously appeared in the base game using stand-in vessels. Every ship in this pack now looks exactly like the ship it's named after.

Upgraded with new dedicated models: O&P, L&M, S&T, and U&V-class destroyers, and the Town (Southampton) cruiser.

Brand new to the game: A&B-class destroyers, Fiji-class light cruisers, Town (Belfast) and Town (Sheffield) cruisers, Halcyon-class minesweepers, Northern Gem ASW trawlers, and HMS Rawalpindi.

All classes are available in the sandbox campaign alongside the base game's existing roster.
