Rent a VPS in Vietnam: one size, 4 vCPU and 8 GB, billed by the hour

Thinkmay rents VPS servers in Vietnam in one size: 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM, hosted in Ho Chi Minh City with a Vietnamese IP. You pay by the hour in VND from a wallet, with a monthly cap. We do not race to the cheapest 1 GB plan.

Snapshots and a public IP

Snapshot before a big change, add a public IPv4 when you need one.

Why there is only one size

Thinkmay sells one VPS size: 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM. A cheap 1 GB plan is fine for a small website, but builds, Docker and coding agents use up 1 to 2 GB of RAM fast.

So we picked a size that handles real work and bill it by the hour. You do not compare plan tiers, and you do not have to upgrade halfway through when memory runs out.

  • KVM VM with 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM
  • Ubuntu or Windows, with root or admin access
  • Disk included, grows 100 GB at a time up to 600 GB
  • See the pricing page for current prices
What makes it different

Every Thinkmay VPS opens VS Code and a terminal in your browser. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or Grok sessions keep running after you close the tab, and a GitHub repo you build gets its own HTTPS address.

How it compares with a typical cheap VPS plan

The table compares a typical cheap plan (1 vCPU, 1 to 2 GB RAM) with Thinkmay VPS. A small plan costs less when you need one light job running all year. Thinkmay fits better when you need a stronger machine, use it in bursts, or want to pay only for the hours you use.

Servers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnamese IP

Your VPS runs in Ho Chi Minh City, and its public IP is in a Vietnamese range. The disk and snapshots stay on servers in Vietnam.

That suits websites, APIs and tools for users in Vietnam, or any case where you want data to stay in the country. A public IPv4 address is an optional add-on billed per 30 days.

  • Data and snapshots stay in Ho Chi Minh City
  • Snapshots: stop the VPS, snapshot, restore when needed, last 3 kept
  • Connect with an SSH key (Ubuntu) or the browser console

Pay with VietQR, no international card needed

You top up your Thinkmay wallet by VietQR bank transfer, card or a Vietnamese scratch card. The VPS bills by the hour from that wallet, in VND.

One Thinkmay account and wallet cover Cloud PC, VPS and May, so you do not top up each product separately.

When Thinkmay VPS fits, and when it does not

Thinkmay VPS fits work that needs a strong machine but does not run forever: builds and tests, coding agents, bots, test environments and short projects.

If you only need a tiny machine running for years at the lowest price, a monthly 1 GB plan may suit you better. That is not who we build for.

Frequently asked questions about renting a VPS

What size is a Thinkmay VPS?

One size only: a KVM VM with 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM, running Ubuntu or Windows with root access. The disk is included and can grow 100 GB at a time up to 600 GB.

How is a VPS billed?

By the hour, from your Thinkmay wallet in VND. Each VPS has a monthly cap, so leaving it on all month never costs more than that cap. See the pricing page for current prices.

Where are the servers and what IP do I get?

Servers and data are in Ho Chi Minh City. The public IP is in a Vietnamese range. A public IPv4 address is an optional add-on billed per 30 days.

How do I top up?

By VietQR bank transfer, card or a Vietnamese scratch card.

Can it run apps that need 2 to 4 GB of RAM?

Yes. Every VPS has 8 GB RAM and 4 vCPU, enough for builds, Docker or a coding agent. That is why we do not sell a 1 GB plan.

Do I need an SSH key?

Yes for Ubuntu. The browser console works with or without a key.

Is there support in Vietnamese?

Yes. You can ask in Vietnamese on the Thinkmay Discord.
