The Ship an App template: Docker and Coolify in one pick
Coolify is a self-hosted alternative to Vercel, Netlify or Heroku: git deploys, automatic HTTPS, databases in a few clicks. On Thinkmay it comes in the Ship an App template.
You pick the template when you create the VPS. Docker installs first, then Coolify. It takes about 15 minutes, and the VPS page shows each step.
- Docker Engine and Coolify install automatically
- Coolify listens on port 8000
- Needs 4 GB RAM and 30 GB disk; a Thinkmay VPS has 8 GB
- Ubuntu, root access, terminal in the browser
Every Thinkmay VPS opens VS Code and a terminal in your browser. Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or Grok sessions keep running after you close the tab, and a GitHub repo you build gets its own HTTPS address.
First step: create the admin account
Coolify makes the first person who opens its sign-up page the admin. Open it and create your account as soon as it is installed, before you make it public.
Why run Coolify in Ho Chi Minh City
Servers and data are in Ho Chi Minh City with a Vietnamese IP, close to users in Vietnam. You pay in VND by VietQR, card or scratch card, with no international card needed.
One VPS runs many Coolify apps and databases, billed by the hour with a monthly cap. A stopped VPS still bills; delete it to stop billing.
